History

The history of the watchmaking fair, which was held as part of the "It's All About Watches" festival and then became an independent event, has its roots in 2017. The first edition of the Festival of Clocks and Watches was held at the European Institute in Łódź. It was an event that brought together watchmaking enthusiasts, collectors and ordinary observers.

The leitmotif of the first edition was "Clockmakers". During the Festival, outstanding figures of Polish watchmaking were presented, and during the fair, the art of watchmaking, unique old clocks and watches, and modern trends in watchmaking were presented, which aroused admiration among the participants. The event met with great interest, which contributed to the continuation of the festival in the following years.

The second edition of the "It's All About Watches" Festival took place in 2018 at Art.Inkubator/Fabryka Sztuki. This time, the theme of the event was "Collectors" and during the fair held as part of the festival, exhibitors presented rare and valuable clocks and watches that attracted the attention of collectors from all over the country. Already at this point, the Fair has become an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, establish contacts and expand knowledge about watches.

The third edition of the Festival took place in 2019 in the Łódź Special Economic Zone. The event attracted nearly 2,000 people and had the theme "Watches in Space". Also this time, the Fair attracted many ardent supporters of watchmaking, and the festival itself focused on watches that were used by astronauts and cosmonauts during space missions. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the history of space watches and see their unique models. Unfortunately, in 2020, pandemic restrictions prevented the organization of both traditional fairs and the festival.

The "It's All About Watches" festival had to move online, becoming the first event of its kind in the world. Despite the restrictions, the participants had the opportunity to virtually visit the exhibitors' stands, participate in discussion panels and online presentations. The online version of the festival with the motto "Into The Future" turned out to be a great success, attracting a large group of watch enthusiasts, despite the difficult pandemic conditions.

In 2021, the festival returned to normal mode, this time hosting the Łódź Sports Bay. The next edition of the festival adopted the leitmotif "Watches In Sports", i.e. measuring time in sports, reflecting the fascinating world of sports watches. The festival met with great interest, and the fairs accompanying it reached a record number of exhibitors.

As a result of this dazzling success, the Association for the Promotion of Watchmaking Development decided to organize an independent watchmaking fair, which has been held every six months since spring 2022. The dates of the fair have been set for April and September, ensuring regular meetings for watch enthusiasts from Poland and abroad.

The new era of independent watchmaking fairs is a response to the growing interest in the industry and the need to create a platform where enthusiasts and collectors as well as wholesalers can meet, exchange experiences and present their latest achievements. The fair becomes a place where you can discover unique models, follow the latest trends and gain knowledge about watchmaking.

Organized twice a year, the watchmaking fair gathers an elite group of exhibitors who present their highest quality watches. The richness of various brands and styles attracts both professionals and watch enthusiasts, creating a unique atmosphere in the world of timepieces.

The watchmaking fair, being a new chapter in the history of watches, opens the door to further development of this exciting field. They are not only an opportunity for presentation and promotion, but also an inspiration for new designers who can present their creative visions and innovative approach to the art of creating watches.

The April and September meetings at the watchmaking fair become an inseparable element of the calendar of watch enthusiasts who eagerly await the next editions to discover the fascinating world of time, precision and beauty.
